Important note:
Due to the special audit of the business operations pursuant to Section 44 (1) sentence 2 of the German Banking Act (KWG) by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, as the auditor for the 2022 financial year, was only able to complete the necessary audit procedures at Varengold Bank AG after a significant delay, so that the Supervisory Board of Varengold Bank AG was only able to approve the 2022 annual financial statements by resolution on 20 June 2024. The Annual General Meeting for the 2022 financial year originally planned for 30 August 2023 will therefore be held on 13 August 2024.
For this reason, the publication of the 2022 annual financial statements and annual report was also delayed. The 2023 half-year report could also not be prepared due to the audit certificate for the 2022 financial year being outstanding until June 2024. PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft began auditing the 2023 annual financial statements in parallel in June 2024 and Varengold Bank currently expects an audit in the course of the fourth quarter of 2024. The outstanding publication obligations will be made up as soon as possible.
